12/08/2013

The country has been consolidating itself as one of the most promising market for the furniture made in Brazil

A Brazilian design show is scheduled for the second half of this year in Mexico. "It will include the presentation of a selection of high-end furniture design, meetings with opinion leaders, architects, designers and business meetings with potential buyers and distributors. The economic and trade data from Mexico are favorable and recommend investments in different actions and business promotions such as this one," anticipates João Araújo Neto, Brazilian Furniture manager.

The 2012 Vendor Project 2012, held in October of last year, with the participation of 15 Brazilian companies and the promotion of 152 meetings, creating effective business of US$ 190,000 and projecting sales of US$ 3 million.

The presence at Expomueble Invierno, held in Guadalaraja in February of this year, also brought positive results for the three Brazilian companies that made 80 contacts, closing a volume of deals of US$ 40,000 and identified potential sales of US$ 2.5 million in the medium term.

This is an extremely positive result, reflecting the initiatives developed with the Mexican market, and that can be measured by the fact that, when comparing the first half of 2012 and this year, companies in the Brazilian Furniture Project exports to Mexico grew 66%. During the same period, furniture sales to Mexico as a whole were down 12%.
