The Buyer Project at Movelsul 2025 starts today. Organized by ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) through the Brazilian Furniture Project, this initiative brings together 65 Brazilian furniture manufacturers and 19 international buyers for two days of business rounds — on Monday, February 17, and Tuesday, February 18 — in Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul.
Over these two days, companies from different parts of Brazil will have direct contact with importers from 11 countries, highlighting the finest that the Brazilian furniture industry has to offer in terms of new products and collections, raw materials and finishes, design, sustainability, and innovation.
These meetings are strategic, therefore, not only for immediate deals but also for building medium and long-term business relationships. By doing so, they open new export possibilities and contribute to positioning Brazilian furniture brands on the global stage.
Buyers are coming from the following countries: Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the United States, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru, the United Kingdom, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay.

Brazilian Furniture Project
The Brazilian Furniture Sectorial Project is an initiative led by ABIMÓVEL in partnership with ApexBrasil, aimed at enhancing the presence of the Brazilian furniture industry and supply chain in the international market through a series of strategic actions based on the pillars of sustainability, competitiveness, and integrated design. Currently, about 175 companies are participating in the project.
In 2024, the Brazilian furniture and mattress industry was the sixth largest producer and the 26th largest exporter in the world, achieving revenue of more than USD $763.02 million in finished products (excluding parts and components), which represented a growth of 3.8% compared to 2023. When including parts for furniture manufacturing, the total reached USD $870.20 million.
In a new cycle (2025-2026), the organizing entities are inviting not only furniture manufacturers and designers but also other companies from the components and suppliers sector to join the project, further expanding the reach of Brazilian furniture and reinforcing the competitiveness of the “Brazil” brand globally.
