Sales to target countries grew 10% when compared to the same period in 2012, with special mention to the markets in Peru and Chile
The exports of companies in the Brazilian Furniture Project accumulated between July and October 2013 reached US$ 32.5 million, which corresponds to a 10% increase when compared to figures reported in the same period of 2012.
The market that reported the highest growth was the UAE, with the sales of companies participating in the Brazilian Furniture Project increasing 53% in the comparison between these two periods. Two Latin American markets also drew attention for the growth reported. The sales reported by Peru increased 35% and by Chile, a positive percentage of 26%.
Continuing the comparison between July/October 2013 with the same period of the previous year, the exports of the sector as a whole for the target markets of the Project* also indicated a positive performance, reaching US$ 85.5 million, which corresponds to a 4% increase. Here, the best results were achieved by Peru (45%) and Chile (15%).
The total exports of Brazilian Furniture in the survey period fell 1%, totaling US$ 252.9 million in sales. Imports, in turn, grew 4%, reaching approximately US$ 247.7 million.
Target Markets: South Africa, Angola, Chile, Colombia, United Arab Emirates, United States, Mexico, Peru and Russia.
