Bringing together more than 60 Brazilian companies and around 20 international buyers from the furniture sector in one place, ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture Manufacturers Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) are organizing the Movelsul Brasil 2025 Buyer Project. This strategic initiative will take place on February 17 and 18, during Movelsul Brasil (which runs until February 20) at the Bento Gonçalves Exhibition Center, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil).
The Buyer Project is one of the most recognized and impactful initiatives within the Brazilian Furniture Project, facilitating direct interaction between Brazilian furniture manufacturers and qualified international buyers. Through a carefully structured matchmaking process and targeted business meetings, the event serves as a key platform for fostering partnerships, expanding exports, and accelerating the internationalization of Brazilian companies. By attracting investments and new business opportunities, it further strengthens the industry’s position in the global market.
According to Cândida Cervieri, Executive Director of ABIMÓVEL and Manager of the Brazilian Furniture Project, the initiative also reinforces Brazil’s reputation as a hub for innovation, competitiveness, and design.
“The Buyer Project has been instrumental in consolidating our presence in the international market. Every meeting and business roundtable held during major events like Movelsul presents real opportunities to establish solid and long-lasting business relationships, further strengthening our industry on a global scale,” highlights Cervieri.
She also emphasizes the importance of showcasing Brazilian talent, innovation, production capacity, and design trends worldwide:
“Brazilian design is renowned for its creativity, sustainability, and quality. Such initiatives are essential in presenting these attributes to the world. Through them, we combine tradition and innovation, demonstrating that Brazil has a lot to offer!”
Strong Results in the Last Edition
The previous edition of the Movelsul Buyer Project, held in 2023, brought together 60 Brazilian companies and 20 international buyers from 17 countries. A total of 529 business meetings were conducted, generating over US$ 30.5 million in closed and potential deals.
For the 2025 edition, expectations remain high, with an expansion in global participation as buyers from multiple regions seek new partnerships and high-quality Brazilian products.
It is also worth noting that, after two joint editions, Fimma Brasil and Movelsul Brasil will once again be held separately this year.
