Saccaro arrives in Venezuela

Saccaro, in partnership with the Marmoca Group, has just opened its first gallery, which follows the brand’s concept-store standard in the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela. The architectural project is signed by Mariela Martinez.

Negotiations began during the Buyer Carnival Project this year, held in partnership between the Brazilian Furniture Project and the Brazilian Agency for Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brazil). "We invited an executive from the Marmoca Group to come to Brazil to see our local operation, the concept store and the factory and he returned to Venezuela with the contract practically signed," recalled Luiz Gustavo Scola, Saccaro’s export manager.

Held since 2009 by Apex-Brazil, the Carnival Project is a tool for commercial promotion that uses the most popular festivity in Brazil to create business opportunities for Brazilian companies. Including the five editions held, the project has had the participation of 1,000 foreign guests (including international buyers, investors and opinion leaders) from 30 countries.

According to Joao Araujo Pinto Neto, Brazilian Furniture Project Manager, "it is valid and important for Brazil is to use its cultural strengths, such as Carnival, to help create closer ties with potential international partners and to promote business deals for our companies."

Present in over 15 countries through four franchises and 18 galleries, Saccaro plans to continue opening new operations abroad. The company plans to open another unit in Miami, in the United States over the next 24 months, and in Uruguay, where the company is not present yet.
