Online survey results will determine the next phase
The first stage of the partnership work between the Brazilian Furniture Project and the Center for Sustainability Studies (GVces) of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation Business Administration School (FGV-EAESP) has been concluded. It consisted of Sustainability Workshops and visits to five industrial parks: Bento Gonçalves, Arapongas, Mirassol, Chapecó and São Bento do Sul
"This way, it was possible for our team to detect the relevance of sustainability for companies under which their points of view sees the theme in relation to business in which they operate", commented Lígia Ramos, researcher for the Center for Sustainability Studies of the FGV-EAESP.
A total of 16 technical visits were made to the companies, which are members of the Brazilian Furniture Project, with the objective of closely familiarizing them to our daily activities and seeking to identify opportunities for actions linked to sustainability issues.
Now, the third phase will start, in which a diagnosis of the international and national markets will be made, as well as the companies associated to the Project. "It consists of survey to be answered online to assess these companies’ practices and initiatives in terms of sustainability", explained Lígia.
During the fourth phase, the detailed results obtained from the survey will be resent to the participants and seminars will be developed for companies from the data received, with emphasis on building strategic actions.
